Terms of service
The house rules for using vividjoyline.net and dining with us — bookings, poker nights, private events and everything in between. Written plainly, because small print shouldn't need a lawyer.
The basics
These terms cover the vividjoyline.net website and services provided by Vivid Joyline Hospitality Pty Ltd at 1 King George Terrace, Parkes ACT 2600 — dinner reservations, poker nights, casino-style events and private hire.
- Using the site or booking with us means you accept these terms
- We may update them — the current version always lives on this page
- Venue rules on the night (menu notes, poker formats, house policies) apply alongside
Bookings & cancellations
We hold tables properly — in return, we ask for the same courtesy back:
Confirmations
A booking is confirmed when we reply — form submissions alone aren't a held table until we say so.
Late arrivals
Tables hold for 20 minutes; running later? Call +61882236417 and we'll shuffle things where we can.
Cancellations
Free to cancel up to 24 hours out. Groups of 9+ and event packages carry their own terms, quoted at booking.
No-shows
Repeat no-shows lose the ability to pre-book — walk-ins stay welcome, but the calendar stops being an option.
Dining terms
A few honest notes about how the dining room runs:
- Menus change with the market — dish availability is confirmed on the night
- Prices are in AUD, GST included; a 10% surcharge applies Sundays and public holidays when we open for private hire
- Allergies and dietary needs are taken seriously — tell us at booking, not at the pass
- Cake-age, speeches and surprises are welcome — give the floor team a heads-up so service can plan around them
Poker nights & casino events
The back room has its own short rulebook — most of it lives on the poker page, but the binding bits are here:
- All poker and casino-style play is strictly 18+ — photo ID is checked at the door
- Everything is in-person and venue-based; no online play exists under our roof
- Buy-ins are modest and prizes are non-cash — trophies, wine and dining credit
- Hosts run the format; their calls on rulings and pacing are final on the night
- Guests may be seated or excluded at our discretion to keep the table safe and friendly
- Event tickets are transferable to another guest but not refundable within 72 hours of the event
Private hire & events
For private rooms, casino evenings and full-venue hire:
Quotes & deposits
Every private event is quoted individually; a deposit secures the date and is confirmed in writing.
Numbers
Final guest counts lock 72 hours out — catering and poker-table staffing are set against that number.
Damage
Fair wear is on us; breakage beyond that is charged at cost — thankfully, a rare conversation.
Conduct
The booker is responsible for their guests — including keeping poker play friendly and within house rules.
Liability & house conduct
The legal-shape paragraphs, kept human:
- We look after your evening carefully, but can't be liable for personal items left behind — the cloak room exists for a reason
- Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law
- Aggressive or unsafe behaviour — at the table or at a poker seat — ends the evening early
- Photography in the venue is welcome; other guests' privacy comes first
Website use & contact
Content on vividjoyline.net — text, menus, photos — belongs to us. Menus, prices and poker formats on the site are indicative and confirmed at booking.
